pii:S2252043014000027-4 Evaluation of Accuracy of PA Radiography and Root-ZX Apex Locator in Determination of Length of Teeth Canal with Destroyed Apical Constriction: An In-Vitro Study |

ABSTRACT: In this study, 25 extracted single canal teeth were provided access cavity and became flat –from cusp area – for the purpose of creating suitable reference point. The teeth were numbered; then actual measure length of canals with proper k-file were measured and determined Then, canals of teeth were filing – about 1 mm more than their actual length (wl+1) – to the file 30 ; so, apical constriction was destroyed and disappeared. Then they were instrumented to the file 60. Then teeth mounted in alginate and working length measurement with Root-ZX apex locator. In next step PA radiography was done by parallel method. After collecting the data, they were analyzed by paired T- test of descriptive statistics. With considering the range of 0.5 mm error – acceptable measuring was 88% for Root-ZX, and in the range of 1 mm error, its admission rate was 100%. With considering the range of 1 mm error – acceptable measuring for radiography was 72%, and in the range of 0.5 mm error, its admission rate was 40%. Since, in destroying apical constriction, the accuracy of Root ZX was more than radiography, using Root ZX apex locater is more useful and offered. |

pii:S2252043014000028-4 Effect of Self-awareness Teaching on Social Anxiety in Albino Subjects |
Original Research, D28 Hajinia A., Nasirian M. Asian J. Med. Pharm. Res., 4(3): 139-144, 2014. ABSTRACT: People with Albino are suffering from negative values and social avoidance in using social skills. Therefore, this research was aimed to survey the effect of training self-awareness skill on negative values and their social avoidance. The method of this research is on based experimental (pre-test, post –test plan) with control group. The population includes all albino sufferers from Babol city, Iran. The sample includes 24 peoples from albino sufferer from Babol were selected and divided into two groups of 12 as experimental and 12 as control group or witness. All subjects completed social anxiety questionnaire before and after training of experimental group. Experimental group were contributed in 8 sessions (90 minutes and 2 times a week). Findings showed that there were statistically differences among score mean of social avoidance, fear of negative evaluation in albino sufferers in experiment group after intervention (P>0.001). So, the results show that training of self-awareness has effects on skills of social avoidance and fear of negative evaluation. According to the results, it is suggested that life skills training specially self-awareness skills must be used for improving physical and mental condition of albino sufferers. |

pii:S2252043014000029-4 Studying the Relation between Devoutness and Religiosity Orientation with Rate of Depression in Students |

ABSTRACT: The aim of the study is investigating the relation between devoutness and religiosity orientation with depression rate. The statistical universe composed of all students in Azad University of Qeshm, which a sample of 300 was chosen of them. For data collecting, Alport's Religious Attitude inventories, Maabad inventory and Back's Depression Inventory were chosen to measure religiosity. The results showed that, there is a negative significant relation between devoutness and depression rate, and also between religiosity orientation and depression rate. Also, religious mean in boys is higher than girls but, there is no significant difference between religiosity orientation rate among boys and girls. These findings confirm the strong role of inner devoutness and religious in reducing symptoms of depression and mood disorder. |

pii:S2252043014000030-4 Examining Educational Achievement Motivations Changes in Fourth Grade Students of Elementary School based on Teaching Founded on Advance Organizer Teaching Pattern |

ABSTRACT: This research was executed aiming at examining effect of advance organizer teaching pattern on students' educational improvement motivation. In this regard, 30 students in fourth grade of one of Schools in Tehran were chosen through available sampling method, and distributed randomly in two groups of 15, which one of the groups was trained under advance organizer teaching pattern, and the other considered as control group. Devices used for data collection were author-made multimedia software, and Verland's educational improvement motive test. Findings indicated positive effect of learning based on advance organizer teaching pattern on educational improvement motive of students in fourth grade of elementary school, which was followed by increase in both internal and external sub-scales in educational improvement. The obtained results are consistent with cognitive theory of multimedia learning and its three underlying hypothesizes. These are: learners have separate audio and visual canals, the canals capacity is limited, and meaningful learning occurs when the learner actively selects, organizes, and composes visual and audible information. |
